Embedded Systems Engineer

Abouttherole

AsanEmbeddedSystemsEngineer,youwilldevelopfirmwareforGimbalproductsanddesigninnovativesystemsundertighttimelines.Yourprimaryresponsibilitieswillbe:

1. Complete(i.e.,development,validation,andlaunch)ownershipofallcoreproductswithindesignatedareas(i.e.,ADCSComponents),actingasasinglepointofcontactfordrivingfirmwaredevelopment.
2. Writequalityfirmwareforcommonprocessorsandmicrocontrollers(e.g.,STM32,ARM,RISC-V,etc.).
3. Testfirmwareandelectricalsystemstovalidatedesignrequirements.
4. Developsystemsthatallowfortestexecutionacrossmultipleenvironments,suchasvirtualizedhardwareorrealhardware-in-the-loopsimulations.
5. Buildrobustandreliablesoftwareinathirdofthetimethatmostreasonablepeoplethinkpossible.
6. Developprototypestoprovekeydesignconceptsandquantifytechnicalconstraints.
7. Participateinarchitecture,design,andcodereviews.
8. Writetestplans,design&productdocumentation,andbuildsupplierdocumentation.
9. Inventnewtoolsthatenablemorefrequentandreliablesoftwaredeployment,testexecution,anddataanalysis.

MinimumRequirements

1. B.S.,M.S.,orPh.D.incomputerscience,electricalengineering,orSTEM-relatedfield.
2. 2+yearsofindustryexperienceworkingonproductionhardwaredesign.
3. StrongC/C++andPythonprogrammingexperience.
4. Greatembeddedsystemsfundamentals:resource-efficientdesign,low-leveldrivers,bitmanipulation,responsivesoftwareandIRQhandling,RTOSframeworks,I/Oandcommunicationbuses.
5. Stronglearnerwithahighappetitetolearnnewskills,languages,andtools.
6. Mustbeabletoworkwithminimalguidanceinfast-changingenvironmentswithnotasktoosmallmentality.

PreferredRequirements

1. Familiaritywithmotorcontrol,PIDcontrol,FOC,andPWM.
2. Familiaritywithdigitalsignalprocessing,digitalimageprocessing,&controltheory.
3. ExperiencebuildingfirmwareforSatellites.

1. Thisisanon-sitepositioninBangalore,Karnataka.
2. Willingnesstoworklonghoursandweekendsasneeded.
