Role Overview: Lead Embedded Developer

We are looking for a technical powerhouse to lead the architecture and development of our next-generation embedded systems. In this role, you will bridge the gap between hardware and software, writing highly efficient Embedded C code for both bare-metal microcontrollers and complex Embedded Linux/RTOS environments. As a lead, you will mentor a team of engineers while driving the technical vision for reliable, low-level system performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Lead the end-to-end design, development, and debugging of embedded software for various hardware platforms.
• System Architecture: Design robust firmware architectures for 32-bit/64-bit microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex, NXP, STM32).
• Low-Level Development: Write and optimize hardware-near code, including custom device drivers (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN), bootloaders, and board support packages (BSPs).
• OS Management: Configure and port Embedded Linux kernels and implement multi-threaded applications using RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr).
• Hardware Bring-up: Collaborate with hardware teams for initial board bring-up, debugging hardware-software interactions using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Quality & Mentorship: Enforce coding standards (e.g., MISRA), conduct deep code reviews, and mentor junior engineers in best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors or masters degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Embedded C Expertise: Mastery of C for resource-constrained environments, with deep knowledge of memory management and concurrency.
• OS Knowledge: Proven experience with Embedded Linux (Yocto/Buildroot) platforms.
• Microcontrollers: Hands-on experience with ARM-based MCUs and low-level peripheral interfacing.
• Debugging Tools: Proficiency with JTAG/SWD, GDB, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Development Flow: Experience with Git, CI/CD for embedded systems, and Agile methodologies.
