TekPillar is hiring an experienced Embedded Multimedia Engineer with strong expertise in Camera, Video, and Audio HAL development for Linux/Android platforms. The role involves working on multimedia drivers, camera frameworks, and audio/video pipeline optimization in embedded and automotive environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize C/C++ drivers for Linux/Android platforms across kernel and user space.
• Develop and integrate video pipelines supporting codecs such as H.264, H.265/HEVC, MPEG, MP4, and AVI.
• Implement and debug Android Camera HAL using V4L2, MIPI-CSI, I2C, SPI, ISP, and Camera BSP components.
• Work with multimedia frameworks including GStreamer, Stagefright (A/V), and OpenMAX IL.
• Develop and optimize Audio HAL and middleware using Android Audio Framework, ALSA, Audio Flinger, I2S, and DSP frameworks.
• Debug and optimize performance issues related to latency, throughput, buffer management, and hardware accelerators.
• Collaborate with platform, multimedia, and BSP teams for system integration and performance improvements.

Required Skills:

• Strong programming experience in C and C++.
• Hands-on experience with Linux kernel and user-space development.
• Experience with multi-threaded and multi-process applications.
• Good understanding of Android OS internals and driver frameworks.
• Experience with Camera HAL, Video Drivers, and Audio HAL / Middleware development.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to Automotive or Embedded Multimedia systems.
• Knowledge of video streaming protocols such as RTP / RTSP.
• Experience with Audio DSP frameworks.
• Debugging using tools such as JTAG, Trace32, QXDM, or Audacity.
• Familiarity with QNX or RTOS environments.
