Job Role: Embedded Linux Device Driver Engineer

Work Experience: 4+ Years

Location: Bangalore

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain Linux device drivers for hardware interfaces such as I2C, SPI, eMMC, USB, PCIe, Ethernet, Display, Camera, and multimedia subsystems.
Work closely with hardware engineering teams to understand board schematics, processor architecture, and system integration requirements.
Perform Board Support Package (BSP) bring-up activities, including bootloader configuration and U-Boot integration.
Debug kernel-level and hardware-related issues using tools such as JTAG, logic analyzers, and signal debugging tools.
Contribute to Linux kernel enhancements, system optimization, and performance tuning.
Work with embedded Linux build systems and development environments, including Yocto and cross-compilation toolchains.
Use Git for version control and collaborative development workflows.
Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to ensure high-quality software deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 4+ years of experience in embedded Linux development and device driver programming.
Strong programming expertise in C for embedded systems.
Extensive hands-on experience in Linux device driver development.
Strong understanding of Linux kernel architecture and kernel internals.
Experience working with ARM or RISC-V processor architectures.
Hands-on experience with Board Support Package (BSP) bring-up and hardware integration.
Experience debugging embedded systems using JTAG and hardware debugging tools.
Familiarity with Git, Yocto, and embedded Linux development environments.
