Email Security Pre-Sales Engineer (Proofpoint)

Job Description:

• 34 years of experience in Email Security / Messaging Security / Cybersecurity Pre-Sales roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Proofpoint Email Protection solutions, including:
• Proofpoint Email Protection (POD / Enterprise)
• Threat Protection (Phishing, Malware, BEC)
• Targeted Attack Protection (TAP)
• Impostor & Fraud Protection
• Email DLP and Compliance (Archiving, eDiscovery good to have)
• Solid understanding of:
• SMTP, MX records, DNS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC
• Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online email architectures
• Email attack vectors and threat models
• Experience conducting POCs, tuning policies, analyzing logs, and presenting results.

Soft Skills & Competencies

• Strong customer communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Consultative mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced pre-sales environment with multiple parallel opportunities.
• Good documentation and reporting skills.

Certifications (Preferred)

• Proofpoint Certified Technical Specialist (PCTS) or equivalent
• Microsoft 365 / Security certifications (nice to have)
• Any relevant cybersecurity certifications (CEH, Security+, etc.)
