Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Electronics Sourcing Engineer to manage sourcing and supplier development for electronic components and assemblies. The candidate will work closely with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and on-time procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source electronic components such as PCBs, semiconductors, passive components, connectors, and electromechanical parts
• Identify, evaluate, and develop global suppliers (USA, Asia, Europe preferred)
• Request and analyse RFQs, negotiate pricing, lead time, MOQ, and payment terms
• Work with engineering teams to support BOM costing and alternative part sourcing
• Ensure suppliers meet quality, compliance, and certification requirements (ISO, RoHS, REACH, etc.)
• Manage supplier performance, cost reduction initiatives, and risk mitigation
• Handle supplier communication, technical discussions, and escalation issues
• Support new product development (NPI) sourcing activities
• Monitor market trends, component shortages, and price fluctuations

knowledge of product certification and testing with agencies like UL/CSA/ ERTL and CPRI etc

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering
• Strong knowledge of electronic components and manufacturing processes
• Experience in electronics sourcing, procurement, or supply chain
• Good understanding of BOMs, datasheets, and technical drawings
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Excel
• Good communication skills (email, calls, supplier coordination)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in global sourcing and US-based suppliers
• Knowledge of contract manufacturing and EMS sourcing
• Understanding of cost breakdown and should-cost analysis
• Exposure to compliance and regulatory standards
