Azista space is a transformative force in the global aerospace sector, uniquely positioned at the intersection of indigenous innovation and industrial scalability. Operating Indias first private-sector satellite mass-production facility in Ahmedabad, we have bridged the gap between complex engineering and high-volume manufacturing.

As a vertically integrated leader, we provide end-to-end solutions from the precision design of satellite buses and advanced payloads to mission management and communication systems. We dont just build hardware, we are democratizing the final frontier by providing global clientele with the cost-effective, high-performance technology needed to power the next generation of orbital missions. At Azista, you won't just be starting a job, youll be fuelling the future of space exploration.

Role Overview:

Azista Space is seeking a highly motivated Electronics Engineer (Hardware) to support the design and development of advanced microcontroller-based embedded hardware systems for next-generation satellite platforms.

This role involves end-to-end hardware development including schematic capture, PCB design and layout, component engineering, embedded board bring-up, power system analysis, and hardware validation testing. The engineer will work in a fast-paced aerospace R&D and production environment focused on high-reliability electronics for space applications.

This is an excellent opportunity for engineers passionate about embedded systems, aerospace electronics, high-speed digital design, analog circuits, and power electronics.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and debug embedded hardware systems based on microcontroller architectures.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define hardware requirements and system specifications.
  • Develop microcontroller-based embedded boards using Arm Cortex-M architecture.
  • Prepare schematics and perform multi-layer PCB layout using industry best practices.
  • Execute PCB stack-up planning, impedance control, and high-speed routing techniques.
  • Perform analog and digital circuit design, including signal conditioning, power regulation, and DC-DC conversion.
  • Analyse power budgets and evaluate battery/solar power options.
  • Select components, manage alternates, and ensure aerospace-grade component compliance.
  • Prepare and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and hardware revisions.
  • Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Testability) reviews.
  • Perform board bring-up, hardware debugging, and troubleshooting.
  • Execute hardware validation, functional testing, reliability testing, and environmental qualification support.
  • Address EMI/EMC considerations, grounding, and signal integrity challenges.
  • Produce detailed hardware documentation, design reports, and test plans.
  • Interface with firmware teams for hardware-software integration and system validation.
  • Use lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters.
  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and failure analysis (FA) for hardware issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Electronics or related discipline with 46 years of experience in embedded firmware development.
  • Strong Embedded C programming with knowledge of MISRA C standards and low-level/bare-metal development.
  • Hands-on experience with Arm 32-bit microcontrollers (Cortex-M), including Microchip SAM V71 and development using MPLAB IDE.
  • Solid understanding of digital and analog electronics, including DAC/ADC hardware and firmware integration concepts.
  • Experience in embedded C and microcontroller-based system development, board bring-up, firmware validation, and hardware-software integration.
  • Proficiency in embedded communication protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, RS232/RS485, USB, and familiarity with high-speed interfaces
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using DSOs, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
  • Knowledge of embedded hardware development lifecycle, signal integrity, EMI/EMC design considerations, grounding strategies, and high-reliability electronics practices.
  • Exposure to aerospace, defense, or mission-critical electronics environments.
  • Familiarity with FPGA basics or hardware acceleration concepts.
  • Ability to read and interpret datasheets, reference manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Experience working in cross-functional engineering teams.
