Job Description

ERETS is a fast-moving, a multinational start up based in UK, Australia and India. A commercially aware organization with multiple threads and a great concern for the space environment. We are looking for special individuals who thrive in a hard-working environment, supporting all aspects of the business where a need arises who can think for themselves, work in isolation if necessary, and integrate into a small but effective team.

Your experience and engineering intuition will be valuable contributors to design discussions and system-level trade-offs. Your knowledge in the field of Electronics, Embedded Systems, and Communication will be instrumental in strengthening ERETSs dynamic Payload and Avionics team at the IIT Indore campus , where ERETS is currently incubated for payload development and testing.

Position:

Electronics and Communication Engineer (Internship with Stipend - 6 months)

Location: IIT Indore Campus, India

Responsibilities

  • B.Tech or Masters degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. (Final year students with strong project experience are encouraged to apply)
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems design, hardwaresoftware integration, and digital communication principles.
  • Experience or strong knowledge in microcontroller/microprocessor-based design (ARM, STM, ESP, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience in circuit design, PCB development, and debugging of embedded hardware.
  • Familiarity with protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and RS-485.
  • Exposure to real-time operating systems (RTOS), firmware development, or FPGA-based design is a plus.
  • Understanding of telemetry, data acquisition, and communication subsystems for space applications will be highly regarded.
  • Ability to collaborate across mechanical, optical, and software teams to integrate payload systems.
  • A proactive approach to troubleshooting and strong problem-solving mindset.

Selection Process

The selection process will be conducted in three stages:

  1. Technical Interview with a problem-oriented assessment based on embedded systems and electronics.
  2. HR Interview evaluating adaptability, communication, and motivation for space R&D.
