Job Purpose

· Maintains electrical systems by providing electrical power and equipment; offering engineering support.

Essential duties and responsibilities

· Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance

· Responding to breakdowns

· Diagnosing faults

· Repairing equipment

· Supervising technical staff

· Obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings

· Managing budgets

· Maintaining statistical and financial records

· Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation

· Creating maintenance procedures

· Managing stocks of supplies and equipment

· Daily hospital safety rounds

· Take regular floor/ facilities rounds and take energy conservation initiatives

· Assist at the time of emergency code activation

· Negotiate with vendors and material procurement

· Taking Training related to Electrical engineering

Working conditions

· Will work in Shifts (Morning, Evening & Night) of 8.5 hours a day.

· Will remain on call for emergencies.

· Stretched working hours
