Electrical Superintendent

About the Role

Join Synergy Marine Group as an Electrical Superintendent and play a crucial role in optimizing the electrical, automation, navigation, and communication systems across our tanker fleet. You will provide high-quality shore-based support, ensuring efficient operations within budget and timelines.

Responsibilities include maintenance strategy development, technology evaluation for carbon footprint reduction, lifecycle management, budget planning, vendor management, and procurement liaison.

Responsibilities:

• Develop maintenance strategies for electrical, automation, navigation, and communication equipment
• Identify and propose cost-effective technologies to reduce carbon footprint
• Maintain a database of equipment lifecycle, failures, and root cause analysis for data-driven decisions
• Prepare yearly budgets and stay updated on relevant rules and regulations
• Manage vendors and provide feedback to the category management team
• Liaise with the procurement team for timely and cost-optimized spare parts
• Ensure timely approval of requisitions and invoice payments
• Conduct business/economic evaluations for cost-effective operations

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Marine Electrical and Automation focus preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of sailing experience as a Marine Electrical Engineer on tanker Vessel
• ETO COC Holder
• Desirable: 1-2 years of shore-based experience as an Electrical Superintendent
