About the Team and the Role:

The Electrical Integration, Testing CoC team at Ather is responsible for ensuring our products meet quality and safety standards before they are launched.

This role is for an Electrical Integration Test Engineer who will be an integral part of the Product Validation team, acting as the “first customer” to provide constructive feedback during different stages of the product development life cycle through end-to-end testing of Vehicle ECUs.

Responsibilities

• Perform and manage Functional, Pre-Compliance, Thermal, and Durability testing including test bench design.

• Execute Integration Testing, Engineering Validation, and Component qualification tests at the system level.

• Conduct Electric battery and dashboard testing while executing DVP as per planned procedures.

• Identify, analyze, and report design bugs comprehensively during each phase of product development.

• Support the creation of robust DVP and envisage customer use cases or abuse conditions for review.

• Analyze firmware/hardware modifications to decide on regression test plans and execute software upgrades.

• Execute safety and regulatory tests at the sub-system level as per recommended standards.

• Verify firmware interaction flows between subsystems and test EV charging algorithms and powertrains.

Experience and Qualifications

• Any Engineering Degree

• 4 to 7 years of Electrical component/System-level testing experience in the Automotive industry, specifically with Electric vehicles

Must Have Competencies

• Development and execution of automated test environments and Manual/Automated test cases for Vehicle ECUs.

• Validation of Power Management ICs, semiconductor device characteristics, and Microcontroller/Microprocessor architectures.

• Proficiency in testing communication protocols including RS232, RS485, SPI, UART, Ethernet, USB, and CAN.

• Advanced debugging and troubleshooting of Electric vehicle system-level issues.

Good to Have Competencies

• Mastery of equipment like Power Analyzers, DSO, Hi-pot testers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Protocol analyzers.

• Design of test jigs, fixtures, and experience with test automation tools like LabVIEW or Arduino.

• Application of MSA, Gage R&R, and standard calibration practices within a testing environment.

• Rework and soldering of SMD and Through-hole devices on PCBAs.
