What you’ll do at Ather:

As an Electrical Integration Test Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Product Validation team where you will play the role of the “first customer” and make a difference by providing constructive and intere¯sting feedback during different stages of the product development life cycle. At Ather you will be doing END-To-END testing of Vehicle ECUs at component and system level, you will ensure our products meet quality and safety standards before they are launched. You will work closely with the Hardware and firmware development engineering team to understand the software/hardware release content and then develop Manual/Automated test environments and test cases for the Vehicle.

As an Electrical Integration Test Engineer you will be responsible for

• Perform and manage Functional / Pre-Compliance /Thermal Testing

• Perform and manage Durability Testing and Test Bench Design

• Plan and execute Integration Testing and Engineering Validation & Testing at the System    level

• Perform and manage Component qualification tests, Electric battery and dashboard testing

• Execute DVP as per planned Procedures. Analyze test results and present test reports.

• Identifying bugs in a design during each phase of the product development life cycle

and reporting bugs in a comprehensive manner

• Support for making a robust DVP

• Envisage customer use cases and abuse conditions to be included in DVP plans, and

execute and review compliance reports.

• Build a database of lessons learned from the DVP execution to improve testing

efficiency.

• Analyze functional dependencies of Firmware/Hardware modifications to help decide on

regression test plans during Firmware upgrades and Hardware changes.

• Execute Software/Firmware regression tests per DVP plans and test procedures.

• Execute safety and regulatory tests at the sub-system level as per recommended

standards

• Integration testing of electric vehicle

• Verification of Firmware interactions flow between subsystems at vehicle/rig level

• Testing of EV Charging algorithm

• Electric vehicle Powertrain testing

• Thermal Testing, Safety & Regulatory Pre-Compliance Testing

• Rework and soldering of SMD and Through-hole devices on PCBAs

• Test Automation, design of test Jigs and fixtures

• Testing for Customer use cases and abuse conditions

Here’s what we’re looking for:

• Basic knowledge of Electric vehicle design and system

• Familiarity with Microcontroller/Microprocessor/DSP Architecture – Registers, Bus, PWM, DMA, watchdog, ADC, DAC, Timers, LED driver ICs, etc.

• Semiconductor Device Characteristics – MOSFETs, IGBTs, Thyristors, Rectifiers.

• Power Management ICs (Gate Drivers, PWM Controllers, LDOs, Switching Regulators,

LED Drivers)" RS232, RS485, SPI, UART, Ethernet, USB, CAN Communication Protocols testing

• Debug & Troubleshooting Electric vehicle issues MSA, Gage R&R, and Calibration practices.

• Familiarized with Equipment and software tools such as Power Analyzer, DSO,

DMM, Datalogger, Hi-pot tester, LCR meter, Electronic Load, Thermal Chamber, Power

Supplies, Spectrum Analyzer, Logic Analyzer, Current probe, Protocol analyzer, Function

generator, Torque Sensor, Position Sensor, Autotransformer, LabVIEW, Arduino, CAN

analyzer, other automation tools, etc.
