Job Description
Electrical Engineer- Relocation to Saudi Arabia is required
Key Responsibilities
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
- Provide day-to-day technical support to Operations and Maintenance Units to troubleshoot and fix electrical systems, including reporting and documentation.
- Assess and provide expert advice and assistance to design, construction, maintenance engineers, and operation personnel on all matters related to electrical systems.
- Perform engineering conceptual plans for the new installation and upgrade projects, including development of work scopes, calculations, and detailed technical specifications.
- Review Project Proposals and Detailed Designs packages for new facilities. Participate in the testing and commissioning of the new facilities and Turnaround and Inspection (T&I).
- Update and maintain engineering documentation and drawings. Analyze system performance and find solutions for Energy saving.
- Ensure quality, cost-effective, and timely solutions to any upgrade.
- Test and pilot new technologies.
- Ensure full HSE Compliance. Report and analyze key performance indices.
- Make recommendations for technical/economic optimization of existing facilities.
- Lead feasibility/profitability studies for new facilities. Contribute to Business Unit strategy.
- Assist in the training, development, and mentoring of younger staff.
- Provide analysis, evaluation, and interpretation in support of projects, processes, and financing related to Saudi Aramco capital investment decisions. Maintain and expand on contacts within the industry
- Regularly interact with other professionals in various company organizations involved in capital planning and economic analysis.
Minimum requirements:
As the successful candidate you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university; a higher degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of working experience in Electrical engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Oil and Gas Industry.
- Conversant and have working knowledge of industry codes and standards, such as NFPA, ANSI, IEEE, IEC, API, NEC, and NACE.
- Experience with specifications and data sheets for Electrical equipment like EHV GIS/AIS Switchgear, Power Transformers, large synchronous/induction motors, HV/LV Switchgears, and Control gears, EHV/HV/LV Cables, Bus ducts, EHV GIBs, UPS, Battery Charger, NGR, Panel boards.
- Experience in preparation of Single line diagrams, protection and metering schemes, motor schematics, Hazardous area classification drawings, substation automation architecture, synchronizing and bus changeover schemes.
- Experience in electrical engineering calculations like Grounding/Earthing, Battery charger/Battery sizing, Transformer sizing, Cable sizing, Electrical Load schedules, Lighting.
- Knowledge of Electrical Power system studies, including Short Circuit, Load Flow analysis, Motor starting, Arc Flash Hazard studies, Relay coordination, and setting using software like ETAP.
- Able to conduct failure analysis and provide recommendations for failed electrical equipment.
- Experience with electrical equipment field Installation, Commissioning, and testing.
- Experience in Electrical Equipment layouts, plant cable routing layouts, lighting, and grounding layouts.
- Work in remote areas depending on the project or task assignments.
