Overview:

Fastenals Enterprise Search & Analytics team in designing and evolving scalable, high-performance search solutions using Elasticsearch. Youll drive architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and ensure delivery of impactful, secure, and compliant systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect and evolve enterprise-wide search platforms.

Lead technical design, code reviews, and mentoring.

Collaborate with business and product teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, GDPR, and internal security standards.

Drive innovation in search relevance, performance, and analytics.

Required Qualifications:

• Expertise in specialized areas such as machine learning, natural language processing, text mining, search recommendation systems, computational linguistics.
• Experience building real-time data ingestion pipelines using big data / streaming technologies like Kafka, Spark, Hadoop etc.
• Experience with semantic search, and hybrid search architectures. Demonstrate strong understanding of bulk indexing, search, schema design, information retrieval and relevance tuning, human (natural) language parsing.
• Familiarity with AI/ML models for search enhancement, including OpenAI and NLP-based ranking systems.
• Prior experience documenting APIs and building developer-friendly interfaces.
• Understanding of Agile SCRUM methodology, test-driven development, and CI/CD practices.
• Knowledge of SDLC, version control systems, and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience with the following technologies: Java, Spring Boot, Python, PySpark, Azure, Databricks, Terraform, Elasticsearch, OpenAI.
