Position: Elastic Pre-Sales Engineer & Product Technical Specialist (Elastic Primary | Omnissa Secondary)

Location: Mumbai

Role Type: Pre-Sales / Product Technical Specialist (Distribution)


Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Elastic Pre-Sales Engineer & Product Technical Specialist to support our distribution-led business. This role will primarily focus on the Elastic portfolio, especially Observability and Security, while also providing secondary technical support for Omnissa solutions.

The role involves deep engagement with managed partners, system integrators, and enterprise customers, driving technical enablement, solution positioning, and pre-sales success.


Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Sales & Solution Engineering (Primary Elastic):


Act as a technical SME for the Elastic Stack:

o Elasticsearch

o Kibana

o Logstash

o Beats / Elastic Agent

Lead pre-sales activities including:

o Technical discovery

o Solution architecture and design

o Demos, POCs, and best-practice recommendations

Support sales teams with:

o RFP/RFI responses

o Solution sizing and licensing guidance

o Technical validation of customer requirements


Observability & Security Focus:

Design and position Elastic Observability solutions:

o Logs, Metrics, APM, Uptime monitoring

Support Elastic Security use cases:

o SIEM

o Threat detection

o Endpoint Security

Guide partners on real-world use cases, integrations, and deployment models (on-prem, cloud, hybrid).


Secondary Product Support Omnissa

Provide basic to intermediate technical support for Omnissa offerings as a secondary portfolio.

Assist partners with:

o Solution overview and positioning

o High-level architecture discussions

o Enablement sessions in collaboration with internal or vendor teams


Partner & Customer Engagement

Participate in:

o Distribution Managed Partner Round Tables

o Partner Round Tables

o Customer Round Tables


Conduct partner-facing:

o Technical workshop

o Enablement sessions

o Solution deep dives


Training, Enablement & Onboarding

Deliver partner enablement programs for Elastic (primary focus).

Support new partner onboarding, ensuring technical readiness.

Help partners prepare for Elastic certifications.

Develop and maintain technical collateral, demo environments, and enablement documentation.


Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Elastic Stack.

Solid knowledge of Observability and Security concepts.

Working understanding of:

o Linux and system administration

o Networking fundamentals

o Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) preferred

o Containers & Kubernetes preferred


Certifications (Preferred)

Elastic Certified Engineer / Analyst / Observability Engineer

Any cloud or security certification is an added advantage.


Professional Skills

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Ability to articulate technical concepts to business and technical stakeholders.

Experience working in a distribution, channel, or partner-driven ecosystem.

Proactive, customer-focused, and comfortable handling multiple partners.


Experience Requirements

3 5 years of experience in:

o Pre-sales engineering

o Technical consulting

o Solution architecture

o Product technical specialist roles

Prior experience in Observability and/or Security solutions is mandatory.
