EHS Safety Officer - Construction Projects

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and proactive Safety Officer EHS to ensure implementation of safety policies and compliance with statutory regulations at project/plant sites. The candidate must hold an Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety and have strong knowledge of EHS standards, risk management, and accident prevention practices.

• Key Responsibilities:Implement and monitor EHS policies and procedures at site.
• Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations and company safety standards.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Prepare and maintain safety documentation (Risk Assessment, JSA, Method Statements, PTW, etc.).
• Conduct safety induction and toolbox talks for workers and staff.
• Monitor PPE usage and ensure strict safety compliance.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases; submit detailed reports.
• Coordinate with project managers and site engineers for safe execution of work.
• Ensure fire safety measures and emergency preparedness at site.
• Liaise with government authorities for safety audits and compliance.
• Maintain safety records and submit weekly/monthly EHS reports.

• Qualification & Skills Required:
• Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS) Mandatory
• Bachelors degree in Engineering/Science preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HIRA, OSHA standards and Indian Factory/Construction Safety Acts.
• Experience in high-risk activities (Height work, Hot work, Electrical work, Excavation etc.)
• Good communication and training skills.
• Ability to enforce safety discipline at site.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 standards is an added advantage.
