Educational Consultant/Counsellor
Location: Vadodara office
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled counsellor who can turn enquiries into enrolled students through effective counselling and follow-ups. The Educational Counsellor UK Education will handle inbound online enquiries, counsel students via calls, emails, WhatsApp, and virtual meetings, and convert qualified leads into UK university applications. This is an inside-sales counselling role focused on lead conversion, relationship building, and student success.
Roles and Responsibilities
Online Lead Handling & Enquiry Management
- Handle inbound student enquiries generated through paid digital media platforms.
- Connect with students via phone calls, emails, WhatsApp, and virtual counselling sessions.
- Ensure timely follow-up on all assigned leads to targeted conversions
- Maintain accurate lead status and communication records in CRM.
Student Counselling
- Conduct detailed counselling sessions to understand students academic background, career goals, financial capacity, and eligibility.
- Advise students on UK universities, courses, intakes, tuition fees, scholarships, and post-study work life.
- Guide students through the application journey and coordinate with processing teams for admissions and visas.
- Counsel parents when required and address concerns related to fees, living costs, and ROI.
Conversion & Performance Management
- Drive high lead-to-application and application-to-enrolment conversion ratios.
- Achieve assigned monthly targets for applications, enrolments, and revenue.
- Proactively re-engage cold or dormant leads to improve overall performance.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate closely with admissions, processing, and visa teams to ensure smooth handling of student cases.
- Prepare daily and weekly performance reports on leads, conversions, and follow-ups.
- Stay updated on UK university offerings, entry requirements, and visa regulations.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong counselling, persuasion, and follow-up abilities.
- Comfort with high-volume lead handling.
- Target-driven mindset with a focus on conversions.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, email, and WhatsApp communication.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; Hindi/Gujarati is a plus.
Qualifications and Experience
- Graduate in any discipline (Education, Counselling, or Management preferred).
- 24 years of experience in overseas education counselling or inside sales.
- Strong knowledge of the UK education system is mandatory.
- Experience handling online/digital leads is a strong advantage.
Work Environment
- This is a full-time office-based position.
- Working Schedule: 10:00 am 7:00 pm (Mon Fri), 10:00 am 4:00 pm (Saturday)
