About the Role
LGT is expanding its Study Abroad vertical and is looking for an experienced Education Counsellor / Student Coordinator to manage student enquiries, counselling, and conversion processes.
The role involves offering personalized advice to prospective students and converting enquiries into confirmed enrollments. Backend university submission and visa processing will be coordinated with the designated processing team.
Job Description
- Responsible for offering personalized advice and converting prospective enquiries into confirmed student enrollments.
- Familiarity with international universities and admission processes for destinations such as USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe is an advantage.
- Prior knowledge of student counselling and ability to advise students on suitable countries, universities, and programs based on academic background and career goals.
- Must possess excellent verbal communication, voice modulation, and convincing skills.
- Identify prospective students and engage in continuous follow-up for conversion.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate student records and ensure timely follow-ups.
- Provide one-on-one counselling to students regarding study options abroad, including courses, universities, and career prospects.
- Assess academic background, interests, and financial situation to recommend suitable study programs and destinations.
- Assist in university application preparation including SOP, LOR, Resume guidance, and document verification.
- Ensure applications are complete and ready for submission in coordination with the backend team.
- Track offer letters, scholarship updates, deposit payments, and enrollment timelines.
- Achieve monthly/quarterly lead conversion and enrollment targets set by management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors Degree (preferred: Education, Counseling, Public Relations, or related field).
- Minimum 23+ years of experience in overseas education counselling.
- Familiarity with admission and visa processes for destinations such as USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and Europe is an advantage.
- Fluency in English (additional languages will be an asset).

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and CRM tools.
