Role Overview
We are seeking a data-driven E-commerce Analyst who will be responsible for analyzing online sales performance, marketplace analytics, customer behavior, and digital marketing metrics to optimize revenue growth and operational efficiency across multiple e-commerce channels.
The ideal candidate will work closely with marketing, marketplace management, catalog, and operations teams to generate insights that improve conversion rates, inventory planning, pricing strategies, and customer acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketplace & Sales Analytics
- Monitor and analyze sales performance across marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, and other international platforms.
- Track key KPIs including conversion rate, traffic, average order value, return rate, and revenue trends.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports and dashboards.
2. Data Analysis & Insights
- Analyze customer behavior, purchase patterns, and product performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve product listings, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns.
- Provide actionable insights to increase conversion and reduce cart abandonment.
3. Catalog & Listing Performance
- Monitor product listing health, keyword ranking, and content performance.
- Analyze search performance and suggest improvements for product visibility and discoverability.
- Support catalog optimization for better marketplace ranking.
4. Marketing & Campaign Analytics
- Track performance of paid ads, influencer campaigns, and promotional activities.
- Evaluate ROI of marketing initiatives and recommend optimization strategies.
- Work with digital marketing teams to analyze traffic sources and customer acquisition costs.
5. Inventory & Demand Forecasting
- Analyze sales velocity and assist in forecasting product demand.
- Support inventory planning to prevent stock-outs and overstock situations.
6. Reporting & Automation
- Build and maintain dashboards using Google Sheets, Excel, or BI tools.
- Automate reporting systems for operational efficiency.
- Provide management with strategic reports and growth insights.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business, Data Analytics, Marketing, Statistics, or related field.
- 25 years of experience in e-commerce analytics or marketplace analytics.
- Strong proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets (advanced formulas, pivot tables, dashboards).
- Experience working with Amazon Seller Central, Flipkart Seller Hub, or other marketplace analytics tools.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate data into actionable business strategies.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio.
- Knowledge of SEO and marketplace search algorithms.
- Understanding of D2C e-commerce operations and product lifecycle management.
- Experience in wellness, FMCG, or health product categories is an advantage.
