Dynamics 365 configuration

Summary Description :

Lead the implementation of a detailed functional integration design into Microsoft Dataverse as part of a Kafka-API-Dataverse integration project powered by Azure Function Apps in .NET . This role ensures that the Dataverse data structure is correctly configured to support seamless integration, enabling developers to build reliable, scalable integration logic on top of a well-structured foundation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Dataverse Configuration

Implement the Dataverse Detailed Data Model provided by the Solution Architect & Functional Integration Design Lead, including:

• Entities, relationships, fields, option sets, and lookups
• Business rules, calculated fields, and workflows
• Configure security roles, field-level permissions, and record ownership models as required.

1. Integration Enablement

• Ensure the configured Dataverse structure supports event-driven integration via Azure Functions and Kafka.
• Validate that entity configurations align with data mapping, process flows, and functional scenarios.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure API accessibility, field availability, and data consistency.

1. D365 Development

• Provide Guidance and Knowledge to development team for Add- on development.

1. Cross-Team Collaboration

Key Deliverables

• Capture in Users Stories the required D365 Technical Design and Acceptance Criteria.
• Configured Dataverse environment aligned with functional design
• Entity and field configuration documentation
• Security model and role-based access setup
• Configuration validation reports and change logs
• Support artifacts for integration development and testing

Review & Quality Control Tasks

• Design Fidelity & Quality Assurance
• Maintain strict adherence to the Functional Integration Design Document (ADD).
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between design and system capabilities.
• Conduct configuration walkthroughs with stakeholders and provide feedback to the design team.

Other Responsibilities

Work closely with:

• Functional Integration Design Lead to clarify design intent
• Developers to support integration logic and troubleshoot data structure issues.
• Business Process Managers to validate business rule implementation.
• Participate in UAT, sprint reviews, and release readiness assessments.

Key Skills

• Deep expertise in Microsoft Dataverse and Dynamics 365 configuration
• Strong understanding of entity modeling, business rules, and Power Platform components.
• Familiarity with integration architectures , especially involving Azure Functions in .net and Kafka .
• Experience in Agile delivery, solution documentation , and cross-functional collaboration .
