Gut Reset Clinics is our clinical arm, offering structured gut-focused detox, wellness, and therapeutic programs using advanced diagnostics, personalised plans, and evidence-based interventions, delivered by experienced doctors and certified nutritionists. We operate in compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements for clinical facilities.


Role Description

Associate Integrative Physician Gut & Metabolic Health Clinic

Location: (Bangalore / Mumbai)

Reporting to: Senior Consultant / Medical Director

Patient Population: Adults (18+)

Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

The Associate Integrative Physician supports day-to-day clinical operations in the Gut Clinic by conducting consultations and follow-ups, building personalized care plans, coordinating the care team, and ensuring safe, protocol-driven delivery of integrative therapies. The role requires strong patient communication, excellent documentation, and a learning mindset. Escalation to the Senior Consultant is expected for red flags, diagnostic uncertainty, complications, and high-risk patients.

Key Responsibilities A) Clinical Consultations & Care Delivery
  • Conduct daily patient consultations, follow-ups, and progress reviews using clinic protocols (under supervision/escalation framework).
  • Build and document personalized care plans (nutrition, lifestyle, supplements, diagnostics, and adjunct therapies as appropriate).
  • Monitor outcomes using structured metrics (symptom scores, bowel pattern, HRV where applicable, anthropometry/body composition, labs).
  • Identify red flags and ensure timely referrals/escalations when needed.
  • Maintain high-quality EMR documentation, consent records, and treatment summaries.
B) Care Coordination & Program Ownership
  • Own end-to-end execution of assigned patient programs by coordinating with nutritionists, therapists, nursing staff, and front office.
  • Ensure plan adherence, timely follow-ups, and patient education to improve outcomes and retention.
  • Participate in case discussions, clinical audits, and protocol improvements.
C) Procedures & Adjunct Therapies (Protocol + Competency Based)
  • Support delivery of integrative therapies such as hydrocolonic therapy, IV nutrition, far-infrared sauna, and sensory deprivationas per clinic SOPs .
  • Perform or assist proceduresonly after training + competency sign-off , ensuring:
  • contraindication screening
  • informed consent
  • vital monitoring (where relevant)
  • adverse event recognition + escalation
  • clear post-procedure guidance and documentation
D) Patient Education & Experience (in collaboration with Sales/Front Office)
  • Explain medical rationale, expected timelines, and safety considerations of treatment plans and clinic programs to help patients make informed decisions.
  • Support the patient onboarding journey by improving clarity, trust, and adherence (without pressure selling).
  • Coordinate with front office for reminders, follow-up scheduling, and continuity of care.
E) Quality, Compliance & Team Collaboration
  • Adhere to ethical practice, documentation standards, and privacy policies (DPDP compliant handling of patient data).
  • Participate in continuous improvement, training sessions, and team meetings.
  • Maintain professional conduct, collaborative communication, and a patient-first culture.
Job Requirements
  • MBBS / BAMS / BNYS / (mandatory); MD/DNB preferred
  • 35 years of clinical experience (medicine/gastro/ER/OPD experience helpful)
  • Validmedical registration with relevant council (mandatory)
  • Strong patient communication, listening skills, and ability to educate and build trust
  • Strong documentation discipline and comfort with structured protocols
  • Openness to integrative/functional concepts; ability to learn and apply new frameworks
Desirable
  • Exposure to functional medicine, lifestyle medicine, microbiome science, GI nutrition
  • BLS/ACLS certification (preferred)
Training Provided
  • Comprehensive structured training in functional gastroenterology, microbiome science, IV nutrition, and clinic SOPs during the first 3 months, with competency sign-off before independent delivery of high-risk therapies.
