Role Overview

The Configuration Expert / Senior OT Engineer will support Enterprise Control Centre (ECC) business-critical Operational Technology (OT) Real-Time Systems (RTS).

The primary responsibility is maintaining, configuring, upgrading, and optimizing the GE PowerOn ADMS, Data Historian, and SCADA Simulation systems to effectively monitor and control electrical distribution networks.

Key Responsibilities

System Configuration & Maintenance

• Design, build, configure, test, and deliver OT real-time system upgrades and enhancements.
• Perform configuration changes within GE PowerOn Distribution Management System (DMS).
• Manage application updates and ensure minimal disruption to operations.

Technical Expertise

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for GE PowerOn ADMS.
• Provide day-to-day operational support for DMS, Data Historian, and SCADA simulation systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex real-time system issues.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with OT security best practices and standards including:
• NIS
• CAF
• IEC 62443
• Maintain secure configuration practices aligned with IT/OT convergence standards.

Performance Monitoring

• Monitor system health and performance.
• Ensure incidents are formally managed and resolved within SLA timelines.
• Implement proactive measures to enhance system reliability.

Collaboration

• Work closely with Support Engineering, Project Engineering, and Control Room teams.
• Coordinate with utility stakeholders to deliver system enhancements and operational improvements.

Mandatory Skills

• 10+ years of relevant experience in GE PowerOn Distribution Management System (DMS).
• Extensive hands-on expertise in PowerOn Advantage (PoA) application and associated components.
• Strong experience in network configuration across SCADA, DMS, and OMS within PoA environment.
• In-depth understanding of Electric Distribution Operational Systems.

Desired Skills

• Strong understanding of IT/OT convergence.
• Knowledge of industry security standards (NIS, CAF, IEC 62443).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with utility clients and understand their operational methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
