Disbursement Account Controller

We are hiring a detail-oriented professional to manage port disbursement accounts and ensure accurate verification, processing, and settlement of port call expenses within a shipping environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and process proforma and final disbursement accounts for vessel port calls

Validate port expenses against tariffs, SOFs, Charter Party terms, and agency agreements

Reconcile statements of account with port agents and ensure timely settlements

Maintain accurate cost allocation and account coding within internal systems (e.g., IMOS, HarborLab)

Coordinate with Operations, Finance teams, and external agents to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth financial closure

Looking For:

Minimum 2+ years of experience in Marine Accounting / Port Disbursement Accounts

Strong understanding of port disbursement processes and maritime cost structures

Good analytical skills with high attention to detail

Effective communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders
