Position: Director Training & Placements

Location: Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut

Experience: Minimum 5-10 years in Training & Placement or related functions, preferably in reputed universities or institutes.

Job Summary:

The Director Training & Placements will lead and manage the universitys Training & Placement Cell, with the core responsibility of enhancing student employability, building strong industry linkages, organizing campus placements, internships, and skill development programs, and ensuring excellent career outcomes for students across all streams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute effective strategies for campus placements and internships for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Establish and maintain strong partnerships with reputed companies, industries, and corporate organizations.
• Organize recruitment drives, job fairs, career counseling sessions, mock interviews, and soft skills training programs.
• Liaise with academic departments to identify skill gaps and plan training modules to enhance student employability.
• Guide and mentor the placement team to achieve annual placement targets.
• Ensure regular interaction with industry experts for guest lectures, workshops, and industry visits.
• Keep track of market trends, industry demands, and employer expectations to align training modules accordingly.
• Prepare annual placement reports and present outcomes to university leadership.
• Represent the university at industry forums and build its brand as a preferred talent source.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Postgraduate degree in any discipline (MBA preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of proven experience in leading placement & training functions, preferably in higher education institutions.
• Strong network with industries and corporate recruiters.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to lead a team and work collaboratively with students, faculty, and recruiters.
• Dynamic personality with a proactive approach towards placements and industry outreach.
