Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

• Ph.D. in Management (Retail/Marketing), Business Administration, or a closely related discipline from a recognized university.

Experience:

• Minimum 15 years of academic/industry experience in Retail Management or allied areas.
• At least 7 years in senior academic leadership roles such as Director, Dean, or Head of Department.
• Proven track record in strategic academic planning, institution building, and curriculum development.
• Strong research credentials with publications in peer-reviewed journals and experience in guiding doctoral scholars.

Preferred Background:

• Demonstrated expertise in outcome-based education (OBE), accreditation processes (such as NAAC, NBA), and integration of industry practices into academics.
• Active engagement with the retail sector through consulting, research, or collaboration projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the School of Retail Management by providing strategic direction and fostering academic excellence.
• Develop and implement innovative, industry-relevant programs that align with global retail trends.
• Strengthen industry linkages to facilitate internships, live projects, placements, and faculty-industry immersion.
• Promote faculty development, high-impact research, and international collaborations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and support the universitys quality assurance initiatives.
• Drive innovation in pedagogy and digital learning, and mentor faculty and students.

Required Skills:

• Visionary leadership with the ability to build and lead academic teams.
• Expertise in retail innovation, omni-channel strategies, customer experience design, and retail analytics.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to align academic outcomes with the universitys mission and industry needs.
