Director Sales | Semiconductor Design Services

Location: India / Global


Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director Semiconductor Design Services to drive revenue growth, build strategic client relationships, and expand the companys footprint within the semiconductor ecosystem. The role will focus on selling ASIC/SoC design services, VLSI engineering services, and embedded semiconductor solutions to global semiconductor companies, fabless companies, and system OEMs.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in semiconductor services sales, account management, and business development within the VLSI ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Drive new business acquisition and revenue growth for semiconductor design services.
  • Identify opportunities across ASIC/SoC design, verification, physical design, analog/mixed signal, FPGA, and embedded software services.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Build a strong pipeline of opportunities with semiconductor companies, fabless firms, IDMs, and system companies.

Client Engagement & Account Management

  • Establish and maintain CXO-level relationships with key clients.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their technology roadmap and aligning service offerings.
  • Manage and grow strategic accounts to drive long-term partnerships.

Market Expansion

  • Identify emerging opportunities in areas such as:
  • AI/ML accelerators
  • Automotive semiconductors
  • 5G and wireless chipsets
  • Data center and HPC chips
  • Expand presence across North America, Europe, and APAC semiconductor markets.

Sales Strategy & Leadership

  • Lead and mentor sales teams and business development managers.
  • Collaborate with engineering, delivery, and marketing teams to create compelling proposals and solutions.
  • Participate in industry conferences, semiconductor events, and customer engagements.

Deal Management

  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle from opportunity generation to deal closure.
  • Lead RFP responses, pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and deal structuring.
  • Ensure accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • MBA preferred.


Experience

  • 1518+ years of experience in semiconductor industry sales or semiconductor engineering services.
  • Proven track record in selling VLSI/ASIC design services or semiconductor engineering services.
  • Experience working with fabless companies, semiconductor OEMs, or IDMs.
  • Demonstrated success in closing multi-million-dollar engineering services deals.
