Director Program Management

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Director Program Management Office (PMO) to lead our program governance, execution, and delivery excellence functions. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in project portfolio management, agile methodologies, and cross-functional leadership to ensure our strategic initiatives are executed effectively and efficiently across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the companys Program Management framework, ensuring adherence to project portfolio management principles.
• Drive execution excellence in a scrum/agile environment, facilitating agile ceremonies and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
• Partner with product, engineering, and leadership teams to align priorities and deliver high impact outcomes.
• Develop and present executive-level dashboards, reports, and presentations tailored for both technical and senior audiences.
• Oversee program governance, prioritization, and portfolio tracking to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Manage cross-functional coordination in a matrix environment and optimize resource utilization.
• Proactively identify risks, manage escalations, and lead conflict resolution to maintain delivery momentum and quality.

Qualifications

• Direct experience with project portfolio management principles and application.
• Hands-on experience working in scrum/agile environments (including rituals and ceremonies).
• Strong exposure to product management, software development, or PMO leadership.
• Proven expertise in creating and delivering presentations for diverse audiences (technical and leadership).
• Experience working in a matrixed organizational structure with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of total experience in program/project management, including leadership roles.
• PMP, PgMP, or Agile certifications (CSM, SAFe, or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience working in technology-driven or product-based organizations.
