Director of Quality Assurance

We have an immediate vacancy for a full time Director of QA, located in our Captive Unit in Vadodara, India, reporting directly to the EVP of Engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Takes responsibility for all phases of testing and the management of the testing activities within a development project.
• Plans or oversees the planning of the system and acceptance tests and coordinates the execution of these plans.
• Takes responsibility for early life-cycle validation and verification.
• Takes responsibility for the production and approval of all testing deliverables and achievement of testing milestones during a project.
• Fulfils the role of Testing Co-Ordinator for a development project or programme of projects;
• Co-ordinates all activities and all testers during each testing phase of a project or program.
• Co-operates with clients/users and senior staff as required to agree the testing strategy to be employed for development projects. Maintains awareness of testing alternatives at a level where they can be analyzed and the most effective testing strategy selected and agreed.
• Utilizes testing knowledge and experience to assess and advise on the practicality of testing process alternatives. Identifies improvements to the process and assists in their implementation;
• Ensures that any risks associated with the agreed test strategy and the system test plan are clearly documented and described to the clients/users and colleagues. Manages all risks associated with the testing and takes preventative action when any risks become unacceptable.
• Provides authoritative advice and guidance to colleagues on any aspect of testing, including training for testers and other developers where appropriate.
• Plans, arranges and controls meetings, workshops and relations with client/user staff during test planning and throughout subsequent development and testing activities. Takes responsibility at a high level for the proper conduct of such relations.

Skills, Qualifications, Experience:

• Bachelors degree or similar, and/or at least four (4) + years of experience in a management role.
• ISTQB Foundation Level Certification or Equivalent
• ISTQB Advanced Level Certification or Equivalent
• Broad Understanding of Business and Product

• Automation Skills: Core Java, Selenium WebDriver, JMETER, TestNG
