Director of Engineering- Backend Applications & GenAI

About the Role:

As Director of Engineering, youll lead a team of managers and senior engineers in developing cutting edge data analytics products. Youll be hands-on with architecture, design, and development, driving projects from 0 to 1 while aligning with customer needs and business goals.

What Youll Do:

• Lead a team of managers and senior engineers to build Gen AI/ Applied ML, Data Analytics, or
• platform solutions from scratch.
• Be hands-on in architecture, design, and development, ensuring scalability and
• performance.
• Navigate uncertainty, prioritise features, and drive projects towards clear goals.
• Focus on customer-centric development, ensuring solutions meet user needs.
• Foster a growth mindset, mentor engineers, and ensure best practices.
• Collaborate with product and leadership to ensure alignment on goals and
• execution.

What You Have:

• 15+ years in tech, with 10+ years in leadership/technical roles.
• Strong in architecture and design for complex systems.
• Experience building 0 to 1 solutions in Gen AI / Applied ML, Data Analytics, or
• Platform Engineering or Large Scale Backend Systems.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team of engineers and managers (40-50 people).
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
• Excellent communication and team management skills.
