REPORTS TO: Registrar
Role Overview
The Director Campus Life Management (CLM) is a senior leadership role responsible for the end-to-end management of campus infrastructure, facilities, and campus life services at SRM University AP. The role heads a large, multi-functional directorate comprising technical services, general campus services, safety, security, utilities, and third-party workforce management, ensuring a safe, compliant, sustainable, and student-centric campus environment.
The role demands strong expertise in technical operations, campus maintenance, vendor and contract management, statutory compliance, ISO standards, budgeting, safety management, and leadership of large and diverse teams, including employees deployed through third-party payrolls.

Building Maintenance
Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP)
HVAC Systems
Power Distribution, DG Sets, UPS & Solar Systems
Fire Fighting & Life Safety Systems
Lifts & Vertical Transportation
Welding & Fabrication
Water Treatment Plant (WTP)
Sewage Treatment Plant (STP)
General Campus Life & Support Services
Housekeeping
Horticulture & Landscaping
Transport & Fleet Management
Pantry Management
Hostels & Residential Facilities
Campus Event Management
Kitchen Equipment & Utilities
Safety, Security & Space Management
Security Services
Building Surveillance (CCTV, Access Control, Monitoring Systems)
University Space Management
Shops, Commercial Spaces & Contractual Facilities
Workforce & Contract Management
Third-party payroll service employees
All AMCs, service contracts, renewals, and SLAs across verticals
QUALIFICATIONS:
B.Tech / B.E. in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
Candidates from large University/Institution is preferred.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Minimum 25 years of experience in campus facilities management, infrastructure operations, or similar large-scale environments.
Proven experience managing large populations (students, faculty, employees, vendors).
Strong background in managing third-party payroll workforces and multi-vendor environments.
OTHER ATTRIBUTES:
Technical Skill Sets
Strong knowledge of MEP, HVAC, power systems, fire safety, lifts, WTP/STP, kitchen equipment, and campus utilities.
Expertise in preventive & predictive maintenance systems.
Sound understanding of statutory compliance, ISO standards, safety regulations, and environmental norms.
Familiarity with CAFM/CMMS, ERP, and MIS reporting systems.
Leadership & Personal Skill Sets
Strong leadership, decision-making, and conflict-resolution abilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage complex operations in a high-occupancy campus environment.
