Responsibilities    

Local Management and Leadership: 
•    Represent the entire GSC organization located in Hyderabad, including pillars in  Business Process and transformation, Clinical Supply Chain, Customer Partnership and Supply Orchestration, Delivery, etc.
•    Provide mix of solid line & dotted line management within local GSC team, ensuring team stability and support.  
•    Ensure connectivity with both Hyderabad site leadership as well as GSC global leadership.
•    Lead and manage the Hyderabad Supply Chain CoE, including Planning, Logistics, and Supply Chain functions. 
•    Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence. 
•    Provide guidance and mentorship to the team, promoting growth and development aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives. 

Continuous Improvement and System Enhancements: 
•    Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain processes, leveraging process excellence methodologies. 
•    Oversee system enhancement projects to optimize operational efficiency and supply chain visibility, ensuring seamless integration of core supply chain systems, including SAP S/4HANA, Kinaxis RapidResponse, SAP IBP, and delivery and logistics systems. 
•    Lead hypercare support for new system deployments and updates, minimizing disruption and enhancing adoption. 

ERP Integration Support: 
•    Act as a key leader in supporting process and data integration activities associated with ERP integration projects. 
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth data flow and process alignment between existing systems and the new ERP platform. 
•    Oversee data validation, migration, and integration efforts to maintain data integrity and system accuracy throughout the ERP implementation. 

Training and Capability Building: 
•    Develop and execute training programs to upskill team members and embed best practices in planning, logistics, and supply chain management. 
•    Establish a learning and development framework for the CoE, supporting global supply chain training and compliance initiatives. 
•    Collaborate with global teams to standardize and enhance training materials, methodologies, and delivery. 

Supply Data Operations: 
•    Lead a data operations team responsible for managing data stewards and data architects, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and accuracy. 
•    Drive data governance practices and support master data management across supply chain systems. 
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data-driven decision-making and support supply chain analytics. 

Strategic Capabilities and Process Excellence: 
•    Lead a strategic capabilities pillar focused on process excellence, compliance, and standardization across supply chain functions. 
•    Ensure alignment with global supply chain priorities and drive consistency in processes and metrics. 
•    Act as a liaison with Global Process Owners (GPOs) and functional global pillars, supporting initiatives and projects that enhance the overall supply chain strategy. 

Global Collaboration and Reporting: 
•    Act as a key point of contact for global supply chain leaders, supporting workstreams from GPOs and aligning CoE activities with global goals. 
•    Provide strategic input and updates to global functional pillars and senior leadership on CoE performance, metrics, and progress. 
•    Manage dotted-line reporting relationships with global supply chain functions, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment.
 

Designee Role and Responsibilities    
 

The Head of Supply Chain CoE may act as a delegate for the Head of  BP&T for matters related to Hyderabad.  This position may also be a designee for their peers.

 

Required Competencies

•    Certification or exposure to Operational Excellence/Continuous Improvement concepts desirable.
•    Demonstrated proficiency in competency areas of Strategic Agility, Organizational Agility, Business Acumen, Process Design and Management, Organization Change Management and Process Effectiveness - in globally diverse, rapidly changing cross-cultural environment.   
•    Strong ability in negotiating and influencing without authority in complex, high impact situations.   
•    Strong coaching, mentoring and employee development skills.   
•    Strong strategic and analytical thinking, problem solving and rapid decision-making skills.   
•    Strong presentation and communication skills both, oral and written.   
•    Developed ability to create and foster a team-based environment to establish and maintain a cooperative relationship with individuals contacted during the course of work.

 

Required Qualifications and desired experience    Education: 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 

Experience: 

•    10+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, data operations, or a similar field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a CoE or global supply chain function.

Technical Skills:
•    Strong expertise in core supply chain systems, including SAP S/4HANA, Kinaxis RapidResponse, SAP IBP, and delivery and logistics systems.
•    Proven process excellence experience with a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent process improvement expertise. 
•    Demonstrated experience with ERP integration, particularly in supporting process and data integration activities.
Soft Skills:
•    Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. 
•    Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, solve complex problems, and make informed decisions in dynamic environments. 
•    Strong analytical skills and proficiency in supply chain management software and data analysis tools.

Additional Requirements:
•    Ability to work with global teams across time zones. 
•    Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
 

Travel Requirements
