Head of Finance Global Tax & Strategic Finance

Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on finance leader to build rigor, discipline, and scalability across the finance function. This is a high-impact role for someone who can combine strategic thinking, operational excellence, and global taxation expertise to drive growth in a high-tech, high-growth environment.

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 12+ years progressive finance leadership

Qualification: CA or equivalent senior finance experience

Key Responsibilities

1. Corporate Finance, Controls & Compliance

• Own financial accounting, audits, tax, and statutory compliance for India and global entities
• Manage global taxation including transfer pricing, multi-country tax compliance, and cross-border transactions
• Strengthen internal controls, policies, and financial systems
• Partner with auditors, legal advisors, and regulators
• Drive long-term financial strategy, runway planning, and capital efficiency

2. Systems, Processes & Scale

• Build scalable finance processes and reporting tools
• Standardize financial discipline without slowing execution
• Lead finance automation and adoption of tech-enabled reporting
• Ensure the finance function can scale globally

3. Business Finance & FP&A

• Own annual operating plans, budgets, and rolling forecasts
• Establish and track business metrics, contribution analysis, and margins
• Provide financial decision support for new initiatives
• Collaborate on cash flow planning across Operations, Sales, Product, and Engineering

4. Leadership

• Build and lead a high-performing finance team across corporate finance, accounting, and FP&A
• Develop second-line leaders and succession planning
• Foster a culture of ownership, transparency, and speed

Ideal Candidate Profile

• CA-qualified with strong global taxation experience
• 12+ years in finance leadership in high-growth, deep-tech, or capital-intensive businesses
• Hands-on experience in FP&A, accounting, corporate finance, compliance, and investor interactions
• Strong business partnering skills and ability to influence strategic decisions
• Comfortable building systems, processes, and teams for scale
