Role Overview
Director Client Strategy & Events will work towards the commercial and strategic vision for sponsorship across Cond Nast Indias marquee event IPs spanning Vogue, GQ, Cond Nast Traveller, and Architectural Digest.
This is a senior role responsible not only for architecting high-value, insight-led sponsorship ecosystems, but also for ensuring world-class event execution and seamless consumer journey integration across all touchpoints.
The Director will serve as the strategic custodian of integrated event monetization & translating marketing vision into scalable, commercially powerful sponsorship frameworks while ensuring every event delivers a premium, cohesive, and brand-elevating audience experience.
Operating at the intersection of Commercial, Editorial, Marketing, and Experiential, the role requires an individual who balances creativity with financial rigor, luxury storytelling with measurable ROI, and strategic thinking with flawless execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the long-term sponsorship strategy across all event IPs.
- Build annual commercial narratives and monetization blueprints aligned with revenue targets and brand positioning.
- Identify white spaces, emerging industries, and new revenue models to unlock incremental growth.
- Drive category development strategies across luxury, fashion, beauty, auto, travel, fintech, tech, and premium consumer sectors.
- Oversee development of best-in-class master decks, category playbooks, IP narratives, sponsorship frameworks, and integrated solution templates.
- Partner with Commercial Heads to forecast revenue pipelines and proactively bridge gaps through strategic packaging and innovation.
- Institutionalize storytelling frameworks that translate client objectives into compelling, insight-led partnership propositions.
- Provide strategic oversight of end-to-end event execution in partnership with Event Operations, ensuring delivery excellence aligned with premium brand standards.
- Design and institutionalize a consumer-first journey framework mapping pre-event anticipation, on-ground immersion, and post-event amplification.
- Ensure sponsorship integrations are seamlessly embedded within the audience journey rather than appearing transactional or intrusive.
- Champion experiential design innovation tailored to ultra-high-net-worth audiences and global luxury brands.
- Elevate production value, spatial storytelling, and brand identity consistency across all physical and digital touchpoints.
- Ensure cross-platform integration across invites, content drops, social storytelling, influencer engagement, live moments, and post-event content.
- Lead post-event evaluation across both commercial KPIs and audience experience metrics, translating insights into future IP evolution.
- Establish execution governance standards to ensure consistency, quality control, and risk mitigation across events.
- Own end-to-end sponsor lifecycle management from conceptualization to post-event reporting.
- Ensure flawless execution of sponsor deliverables and contractual compliance.
Candidate Profile
- 1012 years of progressive experience in event marketing, event execution, sponsorship strategy, experiential marketing, media monetization, or brand partnerships.
- Strong understanding of luxury, fashion, travel, design, lifestyle, and premium consumer ecosystems.
- Deep understanding of consumer journey design and experiential strategy.
- Exceptional strategic storytelling, executive presentation, and negotiation skills.
