Digital Textile Designer

Role Overview

We are an established fabric business in Kolkata looking for a talented Digital Textile Designer to join our team full-time. We need a creative professional who not only has a great "sense of design" but also possesses the technical mastery required for high-end digital printing on premium fabrics.

Your primary responsibility will be creating production-ready designs and ensuring a seamless technical handover to our processing partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Creation: Develop original prints and patterns using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
• Production Readiness: Create seamless repeats (Straight, Half-drop, etc.) for continuous fabric printing.
• Technical Handover: Prepare and optimize high-resolution TIFF files (ensuring correct DPI, color profiles, and LZW compression) for our job workers.
• Color Management: Coordinate color matching and indexing to ensure digital files translate accurately onto various fabric bases, including premium cotton.
• Trend Alignment: Research and implement global textile trends to keep our collections competitive.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Expert Adobe Skills: Advanced command over Photoshop and Illustrator is non-negotiable.
• Technical Expertise: Proven experience in preparing files specifically for Digital Textile Printing.
• Repeat Mastery: Ability to create perfect seamless tiles where the "join" is invisible.
• Attention to Detail: Deep understanding of file flattening, resolution settings (300 DPI), and color gamut.
