We are seeking a skilled Digital Product owner (Power Platform developer) to join our GFSO Reporting Tower _Financial Services Division

This role will be based out of Bangalore-Whitefield office

What you will do

The Reporting Analyst (Power BI) will have the opportunity to develop and support the Power BI system solution functionality of one or more applications or business to support our Accountable Reporting transition to an Operations Center of Excellence.  This role will partner with Strategy & Execution Business Manager and Senior Staff Accountant to design and develop key data visualizations for Global Business Services (GBS).  In addition to ensuring a successful reporting standardization and transition, the role offers opportunity to identify and lead onboarding future processes. This position will work closely with business units across the enterprise and the Global Finance Strategy team to ensure alignment of processes for Caterpillar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Power BI Reporting Support: Assist in the design and development of standardized dashboards and reports using Power BI and SQL to support business insights and analytics.
  • Power Platform Development: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of low-code/no-code solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate under the guidance of senior developers.
  • Requirements Gathering & Documentation:
    • Collaborate with business users to understand basic requirements.
    • Support documentation of processes, workflows, and solution designs.
  • Testing & Deployment Support:
    • Participate in the creation and execution of test scripts for new features and deployments.
    • Assist in reviewing training materials and user guides.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Work with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and ensure solutions meet business needs.
    • Support communication between technical teams and business users.
  • Problem Solving & Troubleshooting:
    • Help identify and resolve routine issues in applications or processes.
    • Escalate complex problems to senior team members with appropriate context.
  • Learning & Development:
    • Stay updated on Power Platform capabilities and best practices.
    • Actively participate in team knowledge-sharing sessions and training.

What you will have 

  • 4–8 years of experience working with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint for data handling and presentations.
  • Exposure to working in a global or cross-functional team setup is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting reporting or automation projects in a business environment.
  • Understanding of business processes in finance and operations is advantageous.

Additional Information:

  • Location: Bangalore, India
  • Work Model: 5 days work from office
  • Work Hours: Primarily aligned with European time zones, with occasional U.S. overlap during business close
