UMEDICA is a vertically integrated company engaged in the manufacturing and export of a wide range of finished formulations i.e., Tablets, Capsules, Suspensions, Dry Syrups and injectables etc. UMEDICA's manufacturing facility, located in Vapi (Gujarat), is approved by global regulatory. UMEDICA was founded in 1983 and has business operations in more than 85 countries including EU, UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Middle East, Central& South American countries, Africa, Asia & CIS countries.

As part of our further expansion and growth plans, we are looking to hire an aggressive and dynamic Marketing Professional (DGM /GM /Sr GM/AVP/VP) who will assume the Sales & Marketing responsibility for the European Market specifically for our Finished Formulations Business.


This position is based at our Corporate Office at Nariman Point in Mumbai and will report to the President.


The remuneration package will be commensurate with the incumbents professional experience and will be in line with market standards.


Essential skills and experience:


The incumbent must have at least 15-25 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a minimum of 7 + years experience handling business development and marketing across the European market. Specifically, the incumbent will be responsible for:


  • End to end business development, out-licensing and marketing across European markets including new lead generation, alliance management, out-licensing and commercializing UMEDICAs product portfolio.
  • Research prospective partnerships in targeted countries, pursue leads and follow through to a successful agreement.
  • Driving sales to achieve targets and ensuring a healthy P&L for the regional countries. Liaising with clients to ensure optimum inventory levels are maintained to ensure optimum sales are achieved.
  • Analyzing data, preparing business forecasts or sales and profitability forecasts, for example: analysis of export data / IMS data.
  • Market Intelligence and competitor analysis for European Countries and share region wise share metrics for new products.
  • Responsible for co-ordination with oversight of liaising with CFT teams to ensure timely execution /delivery of finished products.


Preferred Education requirements : Bachelors in pharmacy or related science discipline. Candidate having a post-graduation degree(i.e., MBA) will be preferred.
