DevOps Specialist

We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps Specialist with strong hands-on experience in AWS and Kubernetes to establish and maintain modern DevOps practices. This role focuses on automation for Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) across the product lifecycle, enabling zero-downtime deployments, continuous testing, and configuration management.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, development, and security teams to design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
• Own and deliver assigned modules end-to-end with accountability for quality and timelines.
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes for distributed, fault-tolerant systems.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to ensure scalability, consistency, and repeatability.
• Drive technical decisions by influencing architecture and challenging assumptions to deliver optimal solutions.
• Champion best practices for DevOps, security, and cloud-native architectures.

What You Need to Know

Core Expertise:

• Proven experience in DevOps, build engineering, release management, and automated deployment practices.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, IAM, VPC, etc.).
• Practical experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration (Docker Swarm/Mesos/OpenShift).

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of elastic, highly available architectures and microservices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab/GitHub Actions, and build tools such as Maven, Gradle, or Ant.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, AppDynamics).

Additional Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Strong understanding of Git workflows, security best practices, and cloud automation.

Nice to have:

• Experience with serverless architectures and event-driven systems.
• Familiarity with cost optimization strategies on AWS.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and security automation.
• Linux error debugging skills
• Experience with using APIs to extract required information and make custom scripts
