Job Overview

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled DevOps Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions to streamline our software development lifecycle (SDLC), improve infrastructure efficiency, and enhance overall system reliability. You will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to build and maintain a robust and scalable infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Implement Automation:
  • Design and implement automation solutions for build, deployment, testing, and infrastructure management.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Implement automated testing frameworks and integrate them into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Ensure infrastructure is scalable, resilient, and secure.
• Cloud Technologies:
  • Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Automate deployment and management of cloud resources.
• Monitoring and Alerting:
  • Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address system issues.
  • Configure monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk.
  • Develop automated responses to alerts to minimize downtime.
• Security:
  • Integrate security best practices into the CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure automation.
  • Implement automated security testing and compliance checks.
• Collaboration and Documentation:
  • Collaborate effectively with development, operations, and security teams.
  • Document automation processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Share knowledge and mentor other team members.

Qualifications:

• Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • [6+] years of experience in a DevOps or System Administration role.
  • Proven experience with automation and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Splunk).

Preferred Skills:

• Security Certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)).
  • Experience with specific cloud provider certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
  • Experience with specific security tools and practices.
  • Knowledge of ITIL frameworks.
