Network Monitoring Tools Specialist 

Responsibility:

• Deploy, configure, manage & optimize SNMP-based monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, MRTG, PRTG, Nagios, and Entuity to monitor and maintain network health.
• Set up & manage NetFlow-based monitoring tools like LiveNX,Elastiflow, to monitor traffic flows, detect anomalies, and enhance security through behavioral analysis.
• Implement syslog management tools like Splunk, Graylog, LogRhythm, and SolarWinds Log Analyzer for effective log aggregation, analysis, and incident detection.
• Integrate and manage ticketing systems such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow & Jira Service Desk  for tracking, resolving, and escalating incidents as necessary.
• Automate routine network tasks and configurations using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, and Chef to streamline operations and reduce manual interventions.
• Use monitoring and performance optimization tools like Cisco DNA Center, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, and NetFlow Analyzer to monitor and fine-tune network performance.
• Implement and manage observability platforms like BigPanda to centralize alerts, events, and incidents from multiple monitoring tools and reduce noise by correlating related issues.
• Should possess a foundational understanding of OSI, TCP/IP Reference model, IP subnetting, Layer 2 & Layer 3 technologies, MPLS, SDWAN, Cloud Networking etc.

Qualification :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience with SNMP-based monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, MRTG, PRTG), NetFlow-based tools (e.g., LiveNX), and security analytics tools like Cisco Stealthwatch.
• Experience with observability platforms like BigPanda, and syslog management tools such as Splunk, Graylog, or SolarWinds Log Analyzer.
• Strong experience with ticketing systems like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira Service Desk for incident tracking.
• Proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, and CI/CD tools
