| Locations : Bangalore/Kochi/Pune/Kolkata Job Summary: A desktop configuration lead MacOS engineer who manages, processes, and maintains the services required to build, maintain, and support MacOS devices, through cloud based methods. Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities: • Ability to identify potential points of failure, pain points, bottle necks, and design and implement solutions to alleviate/automate them. • Assists team lead in classifying and prioritizing issues related to products they manage. • Provides recommendations and analytical expertise on requests raised by projects, and challenges these requests if necessary. • Proven ability to identify and coordinate resolutions of issues affecting a sub-area/area/global regions Knowledge and Skills required: • Extensive knowledge of IT Operations • Familiarity with ServiceNow or generalized ticking of incident, problem, and change management processes and procedures • A high degree of knowledge and experience with MacOS and corresponding management tools (Intune) • Extensive Knowledge of modern OS zero touch deployment methodologies (DEP) • Advanced Troubleshooting skills of OPP, IE/Edge, Chrome, MacOS, Teams, and OneDrive • Fundamental understanding of network concepts (DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, Zscaler, and Proxies) • Advanced programing/scripting skills in PowerShell, bash, python, Graph, and VB • Fundamental understanding of both application and machine virtualization products • Understanding of Nexthink and Dex • Strong interpersonal, client service, communications, and project management skills • Ability to work under pressure and independently in a crisis situation • The ability to work effectively work and team with clients, management, and staff members who are geographically dispersed. • Generalized understanding of AD, Entra ID, and MS cloud offerings • The ability to document processes and fixes. • The ability to read, write, and understand the English language • Knowledge of open source tools such as Munki, Swift Dialogue, Mist, Installomator • Knowledge of Githuh Actions for automated workflows • Knowledge of MacOS packaging • Understanding of how to implement macOS security baselines ie MacOS Compliance project - Possess an in-depth understanding of macOS fundamentals, including Launch Daemons, Launch Agents, system extensions, and macOS built-in security tool and logs Experience: • Approximately 10 years of MacOS desktop management/engineering experience Education: • Ideally a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline • A certification, trade school degrees, or a solid work history will be considered if such a degree has not been obtained |
