The Centre for Exponential Change (C4EC) is a global collaborative hub dedicated to addressing the worlds most pressing social challenges through innovation and accelerated problem-solving. Recognizing that traditional approaches are no longer sufficient, C4EC embraces exponential thinking to drive impactful solutions at scale. Co-founded by Instituto Beja, New Profit, Skoll Foundation, YellowWoods, Waverley St. Foundation and Nilekani Philanthropies, the Centre serves as a co-creation platform for diverse partners, equipping system orchestrators to address complex societal problems at scale, with speed and in a way that sustains.

We are looking for a creative, human-centered Design Strategist to join our team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between abstract strategic concepts and tangible design artifacts. You will help amplify the impact of social entrepreneurs by facilitating design sprints, shaping their change journeys, and bringing our initiatives to life through compelling visual storytelling. If you are passionate about social impact and have a unique blend of deep design thinking expertise and hands-on graphic design skills, we want you on our team.

As a Design Strategist, your time will be focused on three primary pillars:

1. Amplify the Impact of of Social Entrepreneurs

• Design, plan, and facilitate design sprints tailored for social entrepreneurs to help them design and prototype their change journeys.
• Develop toolkits, templates, and supporting assets to help changemakers ideate and confidently navigate the design process.
• Guide participants through human-centered design methodologies to translate their ideas into actionable, testable prototypes.

2. Visual Storytelling & Brand Expression

• Create high-quality visual and graphic designs, including custom illustrations, for C4EC collateral, reports, and digital platforms.
• Design engaging spatial, digital, and print materials for C4EC events, workshops, and convenings.
• Ensure all visual assets align with and elevate the C4EC brand and mission.

3. Evolve "Societal Thinking"

• Contribute to the research, synthesis, and development of the next iteration of the Societal Thinking framework.
• Translate complex ideas and methodologies into accessible visual models, diagrams, and strategic frameworks.
• Collaborate with the broader team to codify learnings from the field into new frameworks for large-scale social change.
  

• Experience:You have 3 to 5 years of professional experience in design strategy, service design, visual communication, or a related field.
• Design Thinking Expert:You have a deep understanding and proven track record of applying human-centered design methodologies. You confidently guide groups through research, ideation, prototyping, and testing.
• Strong Visual Designer:You have a keen eye for aesthetics and a strong portfolio showcasing your graphic design, layout, and illustration skills.
• Tool Proficiency:You are highly proficient in industry-standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative CloudIllustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
• Empathy-Driven:You possess a deep empathy for social entrepreneurs and communities, with an eagerness to designwiththem to build their capacity, rather than designingforthem.
• Clear Communicator:You can present complex ideas simply and effectively, both visually and verbally.
  

• Familiarity with systems thinking and mapping complex social ecosystems.
• Prior experience working in the social impact sector, NGOs, or with social enterprises.
