About the Role

We are seeking a technically proficient, business-driven PLM/CAD Solutions Consultant to support product lifecycle transformation for manufacturing clients. The ideal candidate will help organisations accelerate product development, streamline engineering processes, and unlock value across the complete product lifecycle from concept through design, manufacturing and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and CAD consulting engagements, including strategy, implementation, upgrade, integration and support services.
• Analyse customer engineering and manufacturing processes, identify efficiency gaps, and recommend tailored PLM solutions to improve product velocity and data integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality, IT) to map requirements and design optimal workflows using PLM tools.
• Configure, customise and deploy PLM software (e.g., Windchill) and CAD applications (e.g., Creo) in alignment with business goals.
• Deliver hands-on training and enablement sessions for end users to drive adoption and best practices.
• Provide post-implementation support, troubleshooting and continuous improvement guidance.
• Integrate PLM solutions with enterprise systems such as ERP and MES for seamless data exchange and traceability.
• Prepare client deliverables: solution blueprints, implementation plans, training materials, status reports and ROI impact assessments.
• Qualifications
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in PLM/CAD consulting, systems engineering, product data management or related domain.
• Strong hands-on experience with PLM platforms (e.g., Windchill) and CAD tools (e.g., Creo).
• Ability to interpret engineering and manufacturing workflows and translate them into digital PLM processes.
• Demonstrated experience conducting requirement gathering, process mapping and solution implementation.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Professional certification in PLM/CAD or project management (desirable).
• Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of PLM integration techniques (ERP, MES).
• Experience working with discrete manufacturing sectors (automotive, aerospace, industrial equipment, medical devices).
• Familiarity with change & configuration management, BOM control, and digital thread concepts.
• Ability to mentor junior consultants and deliver client training programs.
