Design Lead/Sr. Interior Designer

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer who will lead residential/commercial interior design projects from concept to completion. This role requires strong design sensibility, technical expertise, client management skills, and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Project Development

• Lead the complete interior design process, including concept development, space planning, and detailed design.
• Prepare layout plans, working drawings, and design presentations.
• Develop mood boards, material selections, color schemes, and furniture specifications.
• Ensure designs align with client requirements, budget, and project timelines.

Client Management

• Meet clients to understand requirements, preferences, and functional needs.
• Present design concepts and explain technical details clearly.
• Incorporate client feedback while maintaining design integrity.
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Technical & Execution Coordination
• Prepare detailed drawings for execution including modular furniture, electrical, plumbing, and false ceiling layouts.
• Coordinate with site supervisors and execution teams.
• Conduct site visits to ensure design implementation meets specifications.
• Resolve design-related issues during execution.

Team Leadership

• Mentor and guide junior designers.
• Review and approve drawings and design proposals from junior team members.
• Maintain design standards and consistency across projects.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in residential interior design.
• Proven experience handling end-to-end interior design projects.

Required Skills

• Strong design visualization and conceptual skills.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering tools.
• Knowledge of materials, finishes, and modular furniture systems.
• Strong space planning and technical drawing skills.
• Excellent communication and client handling abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in modular kitchen and wardrobe design.
• Knowledge of site execution and construction processes.
• Experience mentoring junior designers.
