- BASIC ROLE DETAILS
Position Title: Sr. Design Engineer / Deputy Manager
Division/ Department: Quality Assurance / R&D
Location: Hardware Park (Hyderabad)
This Role Reports to: Sr. General Manager - QA & R&D
This Role Supervises: Lab Engineers / Design Engineers
2.PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To take care of the new product and process Design and Existing product and process Quality improvement
3. IDEAL PROFILE
Educational Qualification
Essential: B.E./ B.Tech /M.Sc. with specialization in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, from a State/Govt. recognized University
Preferred: Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics
Work Experience Required (In yrs.) Total: 5-8 Years (Relevant experience):3-5 yrs.
Post Qualification experience: -
Other Relevant Direct Skills AutoCAD / Relevant design software (MUST )
4. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities (Indicate Key Deliverables for this position)
New product development / Bill of Materials (BOM) / Technical datasheet preparation.
Technical support to sales and Marketing Team / New Product Third Part Lab testing
Ensuring adherence to ISO 9001 & supervising the continuous up gradation of quality management system and procedures. UL / CSA / BIS / Audit preparation and documentation
RoHS / Reach compliances and documentation
Required to drive Continuous product and Process quality Improvement Projects
Large interface with New Product and Process Development
Generating MIS reports for facilitating decision making by the Dept. Head
QMS Documentation like APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, 7 QC Tools, 5s, KIAZEN
5. KEY INTERACTIONS External/Internal
With Whom Brief Description (Frequency & Nature of Interaction)
External: Customers, RM Suppliers and out sourced activity vendors as and when required
Internal: Manufacturing, Design, Maint, RMS & QA team regularly
6. KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED (Technical & Behavioral)
a. TECHNICAL
1. Knowledge of Product and Process designing, Plastic molding component designs, working in MS Office, ERP/FOCUS, well versed with ISO 9001 Quality system /UL/CSA/BIS requirements and Documentations.
2. Must have good knowledge about Lean manufacturing techniques, like 5S, KIZEN, POKAYOKE, PARETO, Analysis etc. to get desired product Quality. Plastic Molding
3. Good knowledge of raw material for product requirements
4. Must have knowledge about failure analysis and required action
5. Must have knowledge about time and cost saving techniques, well versed with latest problem solving and troubleshooting techniques like CAPA, Why-Why analysis.
