Job Description
Job Title: Design Engineer (Permanent Role)
Qualifications & Experience
- BE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- 58 years of experience in Design and Development within a sheet metal industry
- Hands-on experience working in the Design/Engineering department of a Sheet Metal Engineering organization
Technical Skills
- Proficient in SolidWorks , including 3D modeling and detailing
- Strong skills in AutoCAD
- Expertise in Jigs & Fixtures design
- Experience in Press Tool design and maintenance
- Well-versed in Detailed Engineering and generating accurate engineering drawings
- Proficient in BOM (Bill of Materials) preparation
Manufacturing Process Knowledge
- Strong understanding of sheet metal manufacturing operations such as:
- Stamping
- Roll Forming
- Press Brake
- Turret Punching
- Tube Bending
- Laser Cutting
- Welding
- Powder Coating
Additional Requirements
- Good knowledge of ISO and EMS documentation , systems, and record-keeping
- Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and support manufacturing activities
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
