Role Overview

Kintech GreenUrja Pvt. Ltd. is looking to hire Design Engineers with experience in Solar PV or EPC projects to support the design and engineering of utility-scale and commercial renewable energy projects. The role involves working on electrical, civil, or mechanical design aspects of solar power plants and ensuring that project designs are technically optimized, compliant with standards, and aligned with execution requirements. Candidates with renewable energy project experience will be given first priority.

Key Responsibilities

Solar Project Design & Engineering

• Prepare and develop detailed design packages for solar PV projects.
• Support design activities across Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical engineering disciplines.
• Prepare layouts, drawings, calculations, and technical documentation for project execution.
• Ensure designs are optimized for performance, cost, and constructability.

Electrical Design

• Prepare SLD, cable layouts, and electrical system designs.
• Select and size equipment such as inverters, transformers, switchgear, and protection systems.
• Perform energy yield simulations using tools like PVsyst / Helioscope.
• Support grid integration and electrical system planning.

Civil Design

• Develop site layouts, grading plans, drainage, access roads, and foundations.
• Design module mounting structure foundations.
• Conduct site feasibility analysis and support pre-bid engineering.
• Prepare BOQs and construction drawings.

Mechanical Design

• Design module mounting structures (MMS) and mechanical layouts.
• Perform structural analysis, wind load calculations, and mechanical optimization.
• Prepare fabrication drawings and installation details.
• Support mechanical feasibility during site execution.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including design, procurement, and project execution teams.
• Work closely with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Support project planning, engineering deliverables, and design validation.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure designs comply with IEC, IS, and other applicable standards.
• Prepare technical documentation, BOQs, and client submission packages.
• Review vendor drawings and technical proposals.

Site Support

• Conduct site visits when required for design validation and troubleshooting.
• Support project execution teams with technical clarifications.

Required Skills

Qualifications

• B.E / B.Tech - Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 4+ years of experience
• Experience in Solar / Renewable Energy / EPC projects preferred
• Strong knowledge of Solar PV system design or EPC projects
• Experience in utility-scale solar projects preferred
• Ability to coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines
• Good understanding of project execution and site requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Tools & Software (Based on Discipline) - AutoCAD (Mandatory), PVsyst / Helioscope, ETAP, STAAD Pro, Civil 3D, SolidWorks, MS Office
