Role Description:

We are looking for an AutoCAD Design Engineer. The role is based in our head-office at Delhi. The candidate will be responsible for preparing General Arrangement (GA) drawings, equipment layout drawings, and detailed part/component drawings for various Steamax projects. The role requires strong proficiency in AutoCAD and a solid understanding of industrial equipment and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare GA drawings, equipment placement layouts, and fabrication drawings for bag filters, fuel feeding systems, and other Steamax products
• Develop detailed part and assembly drawings with precise dimensions and tolerances
• Coordinate with the project and engineering teams to ensure drawings reflect actual site conditions and project requirements
• Revise and update drawings based on design changes or customer feedback
• Maintain drawing records and ensure revision control
• Work closely with manufacturing and procurement teams to resolve drawing/detailing issues
• Ensure all drawings follow industry standards and Steamax design guidelines
• Support the engineering team in preparing the bill of materials (BOMs) based on drawings
• Provide technical support to the erection and commissioning teams by sharing drawing details or clarifications

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D)
• 15 years of experience in preparing drawings preferably in boiler, air pollution control equipment, or material handling.
• Good understanding of mechanical fabrication processes and industrial layouts
• Ability to interpret and develop technical drawings, P&IDs, and assembly schemes
• Knowledge of boiler / APC equipment components and terminology
• Familiarity with standards and tolerances used in fabrication drawings
• Good communication and coordination skills

Salary: 25,000 to 45,000 per month (based on experience).
