Role Overview


At Bhartiya Design Party (BDP), we are a boutique Interior and Bespoke Architectural Design & Build studio, working across construction projects, renovation works, and specialised interior finishing, supported by our in-house bespoke furniture manufacturing unit.

Design is at the heart of everything we do. As we grow, we believe that exceptional design must be supported by strong commercial clarity, transparent costing, and disciplined financial systems.

We are looking for a Design Costing & Commercial Manager who can bring structure, accuracy, and foresight across interior and bespoke architectural design & build projects, while allowing our design teams to focus fully on creativity, craft, and execution excellence.


Key ResponsibilitiesBOQs, Estimation & Technical Understanding


  • Prepare detailed BOQs for Interior and Bespoke Architectural Design & Build projects
  • Handle costing for construction works, renovation scopes, and specialised interior finishing
  • Break down drawings into accurate quantities across materials, finishes, fixtures, services, and trades
  • Understand joinery drawings, material specifications, hardware, finishes, and construction methods
  • or demonstrate the ability and willingness to learn these quickly and thoroughly
  • Work closely with designers, architects, and project teams to ensure scope clarity and cost accuracy


Furniture, Millwork & Factory Costing


  • Prepare costing for fixed furniture, loose furniture, bespoke millwork, and architectural joinery
  • Understand construction logic, material usage, finishes, hardware, wastage, and execution methods
  • Calculate factory-level product costing, including:
  • Raw materials
  • Hardware and finishes
  • Labour, machine time, and production overheads
  • Support pricing strategies for bespoke furniture and custom architectural elements


Commercial Documentation & Orders
  • Generate Sales Orders / Work Orders for contractors, vendors, and suppliers based on approved BOQs
  • Prepare Proforma Invoices (PIs) for clients aligned with project milestones and scopes
  • Issue and track Purchase Orders (POs) for materials, furniture, and execution packages
  • Maintain clear and structured commercial documentation across all projects


Variations, Revisions & Cost Control
  • Track variations, additional works, and revisions in detail, across interiors, construction, and furniture scopes
  • Maintain comparison statements between original BOQs and revised costs
  • Ensure all financial changes are documented, approved, and communicated transparently
  • Support cost control and value engineering without compromising design intent
