Design Coordinator

Design & review

• Coordinate and manage design projects from concept to completion.
• Review of all drawings with reference to other drawings as received from consultant. 
• Coordination with design consultant to close all design activities on time.
• Need to do the work as per approved schedule within schedule timelines without hampering any progress at site due to design related issue. 
• Closure of all Design technical queries on time and needs to coordinate with design consultant and site teams. 
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve design processes and workflows.
• Manage and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise during the project.
• Material & Specification Design: Design of material as per calculation & advise on the best materials to use when building or adding to existing structures, considering safety, sustainability, usage and cost.
• Consider the strength of construction materials and select appropriately.
• Detailed knowledge of IS codes and design criteria.
• Check of shop drawings, As build drawings as required. 
• Work with other designers, including architects & fit with the aesthetic concept of the construction.
• Prepare reports, designs, and drawings for Misc. parts as required.
• Participate in initial planning and bidding processes, including reviewing environmental factors, government regulations, constructions costs and risk analysis reports to prepare comprehensive study on all relevant design factors.
• Research existing and new material technology to determine practical applications, strength and durability expectations and cost-benefits information, and prepare material recommendations for current and future projects
• Use AutoCAD and other drafting software programs to create 2D design documents and 3D models for individual components and overall structural plans according to client needs and project requirements for deliverables
• Collaborate with site teams, project managers & other stakeholders. 
• Inspection at site and raise the flag for any issues and discrepancy from approved drawings. 
• Preparation and finalization of complete tender with BOQ. 
• Detailed knowledge of IS codes and design parameters. 

Drawings Management

• Checking of drawings received from consultant with respect to drawing no. revision, coordination with architectural details etc. 
• Ensure work will be executed as per latest drawings at site. 
• Ensure structure GFC to be closed before start of activity at site.
• Ensure superseded drawings should be separate from latest revision of drawings. 

• Full-time B.Tech/B.E. degree in Civil Engineering
• 8 to 10 years of experience.
• Involvement in design coordination, DBR analysis, Tendering (BOQ`s, detailed quantity backup, technical specification, tender drawings), shop drawings, design, and project queries.
• Knowledge of all equipped with technical feasibility and risks associated with projects works.
• Knowledge of cost estimation, IS standard, value engineering - crucial aspects of project works.
• Knowledge of the government and authority’s enforced laws, standard norms and regulation etc.
