Role Purpose:

The Transfer Pricing Group is a sub-department within the Viatris Global Tax Department responsible for executing on the strategic and operational aspects of the Companys transfer pricing matters. The Group covers the full transfer pricing life cycle from price monitoring and preparation of TP documentation through to tax audit support, on a global basis.

The role works closely with finance, accounting, tax and IT teams to collect and analyze data, perform legal entity profit reviews and intercompany recharges, and ensure intercompany transactions comply with global transferpricing rules and internal policies. In this role, you will be in close contact with multiple stakeholders across the globe, from Local Country Finance departments and Commercial Affiliates to Group Tax, Treasury, and other functional teams. This position is ideal for highly motivated candidates with at least 5 years experience in transfer pricing or related finance roles who possess strong analytical skills and a desire to work with large data sets and business systems.


Key Responsibilities:

Profit Reviews & IC Recharges

  • Retrieve, cleanse and analyze large volumes of data from multiple ERP and consolidation systems to perform periodic profit reviews and quarterly or annual IC recharges.
  • Prepare initial legal entity profit review analyses and IC recharge analyses to ensure compliance with the arms length standard.
  • Synthesize key insights, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders at local, regional and global levels.
  • Coordinate with finance teams to book and invoice transfer pricing adjustments and IC recharges.


Process Improvement & Technology Enablement

  • Identify opportunities to creatively leverage technology tools.
  • Create process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline repetitive and/or low value-add tasks and processes.
  • Use VBA, Alteryx or similar tools to automate data preparation, enhance analytical efficiency, and develop scalable solutions.


Critical Thinking & RootCause Analysis

  • Apply criticalthinking skills to break down complex problems.
  • Perform rootcause analyses of variances, and develop actionable recommendations based on insights drawn from large datasets.


Cross-functional Audit & Compliance Support

  • Support internal and external audits related to intercompany transactions and transfer pricing processes.
  • Collaborate with accounting, finance, legal and tax teams to address intercompany issues and support special projects.


Independent & Collaborative Work

  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, maintain regular communication, and schedule meetings during U.S. working hours when necessary.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with team members dispersed throughout the globe.


Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Law, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or related field required. Advanced degree or professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CTA) is an advantage.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience is required. Experience with Operational Transfer Pricing is highly preferred, inclusive of:

-Performing legal entity profit monitoring/review

-Calculating transfer price adjustments based on variety of transfer pricing methodologies

-Adjusting intercompany prices for a multinational organization to comply with the arms length standard

- Performing cost allocation analyses

-Performing ad hoc analyses to assess business case scenarios.

  • Familiarity with global transfer pricing regulations and methods; ability to translate policy into operational procedures.
  • Understanding of management and financial reporting and intercompany processes is essential.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of the transfer pricing implications for a multinational organization
  • Ability to perform root cause analyses and effectively communicate results and findings.
  • Highly proficient in using Excel functions & formulas to cleanse, manipulate and analyze large data sets.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Office Suite required.
  • Experience using Hyperion Financial Management and SAP, and SAP BI is preferred.
  • Experience using Alteryx/VBA/Microsoft Power Apps or other data manipulation tools is highly preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects and deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Detail-oriented with a track record of diligent and structured analytical work.
  • Strong written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English is required.
